Named professionals have a key role in promoting good professional practice within their organisation, supporting the local safeguarding system and processes, providing advice and expertise for fellow professionals, and ensuring safeguarding supervision and training is in place.
Named professionals should also attend regular supervision sessions. They should work closely with their organisation’s safeguarding lead, Designated Professionals in the Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCGs) and the local safeguarding children’s partnership and safeguarding adult boards.
